Question about the Zaishen Mengarie, thanks! :) - Guild Wars Forums

Hey, I was just wondering, based on the information that we have recieved so far, can't interpret the information too well myself, but with the Zaishen Mengarie, are we able to put our hero pets into it to be used within the Mengarie?

The way I read it (and of course I could be wrong), you can place your existing pet into the menagerie, then go tame another, etc. Also, you can use Balthazar faction to unlock and train pets for use by your PvP characters.

Whether or not you can swap out pets in the menagerie is still unclear. I'd like to think that was part of the design, but they haven't exactly told us that is the case, so we'll have to wait and see.

In my mind I am picturing the menagerie to be your own personal zoo.

Tame a bear and put it in the stocks.
Go out tame a wolf, put it in the stocks.

Now you don't have to run around and look for one pet you can have a collection.
Also you can unlock more pets for your pvp char, instead of that stupid dire wolf.

I was just wondering, are the heroes able to put their pets in the Mengarie if those pets arent already in there?

i believe so...
with the only exception being the rainbow phoenix, which is only usable by gwamm r3 players.

(also its kinda funny how everyone is ignoring your question...probably because they're too excited that the update is nearing lol)

People have asked for a 'barn', 'stable', etc. for a long time. Not for PvP purposes, but for PvE. I am glad they are providing the PvP players an option other than the Elder Wolf, as some builds would work better with a Hearty or Dire pet, and the damage type of some pets is more useful (piercing -v- slashing).

My understanding from having read the preview info is that hero pets will be included in the Menagerie. This would allow people to fill their Menagerie with less work of charming a new animal and raising it to level 20 with evolution. So you could put 4 pets in at a time instead of only 1 (3 heroes + yours).

I'm hoping it stores the pet and allows you to trade out the pets instead of having to re-level a pet with the proper evolution..... but we will have to wait to see.

here's a gd question... can u take a necro in the zoo, kill everythin, and raise an army of minions to wipe out the zoo? lol just my 2 cents
